Hiba Bhatty knew from a young age that she wanted to be an architect. Having a brother with cerebral palsy, she realized that buildings can be designed to enable and empower people. She trained at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Yale University. As a Pakistani-American woman, she had few role models to advise her on her path. Bhatty hopes to change that for future generations by mentoring high school students. In an unexpected twist, Bhatty also has an unlikely side gig: stand-up comedy.
